Public Cinema Club is a comedy film collective founded in 2015 in Philadelphia by Kendra, Pipus, and Scott J. Ross. It is currently run by Kendra and Scott in Los Angeles.
The group has created digital comedy shorts and web series for Netflix, Syfy, Amazon Prime Video, and Super Deluxe. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, Billboard, XXL, Hypebeast, Vice, and Indiewire, and played at film festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, Borscht, Rooftop Films, and Sheffield Doc/Fest.
At their live shows in Philadelphia (at Good Good Comedy) and Los Angeles (at The Elysian Theater & produced by Annie Brennan), PCC premieres their newest short films along with work by their favorite comedy directors. The screenings are interspersed with high-octane cinema-themed performances by comedians, martial artists, circus performers, and dancers.
Pipus and Kendra were also named “Best Comedians of 2017” by Philadelphia Magazine.
